Service Description

Assistive technology (AT) can make everyday tasks easier, safer, and more comfortable. From simple tools to everyday adaptations, basic assistive technology supports people to do what matters most — at home, school, work, or in the community. Our occupational therapists help identify, recommend, and support the use of AT that fits the person, their environment, and their goals. Assistive technology refers to tools and equipment that support independence and participation, including: - Eating and drinking aids (e.g., adapted cutlery, cups) - Dressing and grooming aids (e.g., button hooks, sock aids) - Mobility and positioning supports (e.g., cushions, grab rails, walking frames) - Everyday adaptations for home, school, or work Through observation and discuss of daily routines and challenges, we suggest tools that will support independence and participation. We help you to try out equipment in showrooms, our clinic or in your home, and make modifications as needed, as well as providing training for the person and caregivers. Our recommendations are clear and can support funding applications, including NDIS, aged care, or other support programs. ​Please note that we do not complete complex seating or wheelchair prescription, but can help you with basic wheelchair prescription.
